Fraternal organizations are social groups that are often international in scope. There are many of these around the world and they all have relevant social programs that provide good answers to certain segments of populations that need help. They are also great venues for good socials and mores and standards that create high standards of quality living for members as well as the people they help.

Lions Clubs International is one such organization and it is well recognized and respected wherever individuals and chapters are. Multiple Districts 19 Lions is the relevant district for the states and provinces of Washington, Idaho and British Columbia. This is the type of district that covers several states and have more chapters than the average district.

This particular Lions unit is also categorized into distinct operational groups per region, to provide integrity and better coordination especially in action programs. Volunteerism is the primary and beginning requirement to join the brotherhood. It is in this spirit that brothers, individually and as a group, provide answers to issues that have and will challenge communities around the world. And their actions have only one true justification with their motto, We Serve.

The organization was founded on June 7, 1917 in the city of Chicago. It has maintained its primary mission of through its existence in a way that encapsulates the organizational symbol. It grew into many chapters in a very short time, due to its progressive vision and populist strategy, and the club has kept on growing through time.

The relevant word this group is LIONS, which is also an acronym for how they practice the mission. They are a set of values that form the foundation of active democracy in countries where members are working to strengthen the freedom of individuals. The values are Liberty, Intelligence and Our Nations Safety.

Women and men who have good reputations in their communities and or in their majority are the ones invited to join the club. Membership concerns are guided by a set of rules that screens for the best people who can promote the mission and vision of service programs. To reiterate, visiting local chapter HQs is the best thing to do to be updated.

There are flags and banners used by the group to represent all the virtues it stands for. Purple is meant to symbolize integrity and loyalty, gold symbolizes the virtues of liberality, purity, sincerity and generosity. The relevant colors are often used in sashes, uniforms and other official signage used during missions and socials.

Goals that are basic to the Lions International programs are connected to the preservation of hearing and eyesight for those who are afflicted with these problems. Many more goals can be put up whenever and wherever needed, and these are decided on by members in connection to national issues. Lions often work with local governments or groups with the same ideals for a team effort in delivering great and intensive help for people.
