Finding Out About Nonprofit Organization Houston TX

By Amy Meyer

Fortunately there are quite a few people within this world who want to own and operate their own business. A young man living in Texas has started his own nonprofit organization Houston TX and it is going well. He first got the idea to start this program while living in Atlanta Georgia nearly fifteen years ago.

While Rex was working on a job as a Career Specialist his employer told him to become more involved with the local community. He thought that this was a great idea and moved forward. Rex became involved with the local law office and had a lawyer and the assistant district attorney attend the program.

They had all met at the local school within the Atlanta area and spoke to more than three hundred students throughout the day. Some of these students were really amazed at how attentive and creative three adults could be. They immediately responded to their counselor in a positive way about the program and he wanted Rex to come out to his local program.

Over time Rex found himself developing programs for the boys throughout the next four years until he left from Atlanta. During this time he went to live with his sister in Texas and his job was happy to give him a transfer to another company. This was great news for Rex and his family and he would always be grateful for this gesture. Once he was settled in Texas Rex decided to take his program one step further and to have it funded by the government.

After doing the paperwork and paying a small fee Rex was all set to market his program to each and every individual within the lone star state. Eventually he met a man called Luther Smith and they became friends and business partners. Luckily Luther also had his own program which was filled with troubled young men who needed help in life. They really benefited from the positive male role model project.

The two men decided that they would go a few extra steps with the program and offer trips and other activities for the boys. They also had members from the local sports team visit the boys at least several times throughout the year.

Rex also received various donations from people around the state who wanted to become involved on some small level. The program also introduced employment opportunities for the boys who were about to finish high school. Mr. Smith loved this idea since he had such a hard time to attract employers.

The business union would be great for both parties since it was something which really helped the community as a whole. The boys also took the time to visit the local military base and many of the soldiers gave them great advice to help their future. A local school principal purchased audio visual equipment for them which would be used for special presentations. It seemed as though everyone had come through for Rex and they made sure that his program was very successful.
